Hi, I’m Rachel, the designer and creator behind The Stitching Hour. I was raised around the kind of Southern traditions that are handed down over time—through stories, shared moments, and making things carefully by hand—and needlepoint has always felt like part of that legacy.

 

To me, needlepoint is more than a craft; it’s a way of slowing down and honoring the beauty of doing things well and with intention. Each canvas is thoughtfully designed with balance and stitchability in mind, drawing from classic needlepoint traditions while allowing space for a fresh, timeless elegance.

 

Whether you’re a seasoned stitcher or just beginning, my hope is that these designs feel welcoming and familiar, like something meant to be worked on slowly and cherished for years. This studio is rooted in heirloom craftsmanship, quiet creativity, and the Southern belief that the most meaningful things are made to last.
